Top 10 Valentine’s Day Activities
57There are so many fun ideas for a date, but being that it is Valentine's day, make today extremely memorable. Make you special loved one feel like they are your one and only and make them feel special from top to bottom.
1. Firelight and Candles
Increase the heat tonight by lighting a fire and many candles. The more candles at the beginning of the evening the better. This will create the most romantic scene. It makes me think of the scene from “Friends” when Monica proposes to Chandler. As the evening begins you have a number of candles and the fire burning and then as the evening progresses then the candles will burn out and the fire will burn down to the lit coals. This will create a warm room and everyone does look better in flickering candlelight.
2. Indulge in a Couples Massage
A massage will relax your muscles and release your inhibitions. If you are at a spa, enjoying a couples retreat, usually you would like to have your couples massage take place at the same time, in the same room. You both are wearing minimal clothing and both are enjoying the touch of another’s warm hands. The lights are low your minds will be cleared to help enjoy the rest of your romantic evening.
3. Intimate Outdoor Movie
Go to a local park where they play old romantic black and white love stories. You will be under the stars, cuddling under a blanket and watching a classic romance. If your city is not playing any movies like these then rent one of these classic movies and watch it in your own backyard. If you have a projection theatre than great or a simple easy way to watch your movie under the stars is to take out a smaller TV and DVD player. With your outdoor movie make sure you pack a picnic basket with snacks; such as, chocolates, strawberries and wine.
4. Private Couples Hot Tub
To continue with the idea of enjoying the evening under the stars with your special Valentine, enjoy a private hot tub. You can rent hot tubs if you do not own one. While setting up the hot tub have a table close to hold extra towels, wine, strawberries and a candle for light. On most hot tub there are many romantic features; such as, a waterfall or lights. These are fun at the beginning of the evening. As the evening progresses you may wish to turn these features off. The waterfall is a cool feature, but is a little loud. When the lights in the tub are turned off the stars lights will fill the nights sky.
5. Expand Your Knowledge: Wine Tour or Brewery Tours
It makes for a very interesting day to learn about something that you enjoy. When you go on these tours many times you get to learn and see how the operation works, the ingredients and learn about the gestation period. You also get to sample the different types of wines the winery produces. The tour guide will teach you about what to look for in a good bottle of wine. If it was a brewery tour you learn more about beer than you think is possible. There are also different types of beer to drink during different times of the year and with different foods. These are very fun tours and you will meet some interesting people.
6. Couples Cooking
This activity can be quite enjoyable and will also tell a lot about your relationship. If neither of you know how to cook you can have a chief into your home to help teach you how to cook. Or another fun way is your each of you to teach the other how to make your favourite foods. After cooking you also get to enjoy you creations. You may wish to have a backup in case your cooking does not turn out as planned.
7. High Expectations: Hot Air Balloon Ride
While on your hot air balloon ride you will take you relationship to a higher level. Up so high in the air you will see the world from a new perspective. This is not only a romantic activity, but it is also a great personal mind release. While enjoying your view enjoy a glass of wine. Make a romantic toast about future possibilities when your hearts are soaring.
8. Extreme Sport: Bungee Jumping or Tandom Sky Diving
Are you ready to take the leap of faith with your partner. Sometime facing ones fears, by particpating in extreme sports can help bond a relationship. Bungee jumping is an activity that would terrify most people, but it will show how your partnership can being strengths together in a difficult situation (if you have a fear of heights). The best part is holding your partner tight feeling the wind blowing through your hair. If you decide that tandom sky diving is for you, then both you and your partner will see the world in a different perspective. Exteme relationship = extreme dates.
9. Permanent Relationship = Permanent Tattoo?
Ready for a bold permanent activity? Getting a tattoo would make this a Valentine’s to remember. My only suggestion, make sure this is something that you really want, remember it is permanent. And get a tattoo that you really want. I would really refrain from getting any names tattooed on my body, but this decision is ultimately yours.
10. Go Wild: Romantic Horseback Riding and Picnic
Riding a wild animal is a fantastic idea for a Valentine’s Day activity. It is an amazing feeling to be on a horse that is so large and so strong. There are many local areas that you can ride horses. Many times you ride the horses on beaches or on trail through a meadow or a forest. Enjoy yourself after with a romantic picnic.
Whatever you decide to do for Valentine’s Day enjoy yourself and your partner!

I have been making my valentines day cards. I have learned how to Iris paper fold and I love doing this special craft. You can really personalize your cards.
One of my favorite things to do is, run a hot bubble bath for my love and put rose petals gentle on top of the water so they gently float. Then, I'll light candles around the bathroom and have her enjoy.
Then, while she is snuggled up in the warm water and enjoying listening to relaxing music, I'll cook a dinner of Fettucini Alfredo with sauteed chicken or steak while using my own secret sauce recipe before setting the table with candles and dim lighting.
After she returns from the bath, I'll put on light classical music for us to dine with. After dinner, I switch the music to slow love songs and dance with her until our lips should tenderly meet.
Great article...if you get a chance to read some of my hubs, you'll soon learn why I got carried away with my comment LOL
